Good storage is quiet: sealed, dry, and away from heat.

Raw jungle honey does not need complicated storage. Most problems come from doing too much: refrigerating it, heating it aggressively, leaving the jar open, or using a wet spoon.

Keep it at room temperature

Store the jar in a cool, dry place at room temperature. A kitchen shelf or pantry is enough. Keep it away from direct sunlight, a hot stove, or any place that regularly becomes warm.

Do not refrigerate raw jungle honey. Cold storage can encourage crystallisation and make the texture harder to use. It is unnecessary for normal home use.

Keep the jar closed

Honey naturally attracts moisture. Keep the lid closed when the jar is not in use. This protects the texture and keeps the product cleaner for longer.

Use a dry spoon. Water is the enemy of a good jar. Even small amounts of moisture introduced repeatedly can disturb the honey.

Do not overheat it

If the honey crystallises and you prefer it fluid, place the closed jar in warm water. Warm, not boiling. There is no need to punish the honey for behaving naturally.

Avoid adding raw jungle honey directly into very hot tea, boiling water, or food straight from the flame. Let the food cool slightly first.

Use it where it can remain itself

Raw jungle honey works well with curd, fruit, toast, soaked almonds, light breakfast bowls, or lukewarm drinks. It is also excellent when used sparingly in food where sweetness should carry character, not just sugar.
